Ben Harding: Demographic trends point to autonomous vehicles
Dave Krieger is right that the future of local transportation will belong to autonomous vehicles (“The coming transport revolution,” Daily Camera, Aug. 13). Though it is too early to toss RTD, there are two demographic factors Dave didn’t mention that support adoption of fully autonomous vehicles “on a more rapid timeline than many expect.” My baby-boomer cohort, while perhaps still in love with cars, is falling out of love with driving, particularly at night, in bad weather or in traffic.
